Your mattress supports you, return the favour.

When your mattress is well-supported, you are too. Your bed frame sustains the longevity of your mattress, mitigating pre-mature sagging, mold, and collapse. Choosing a bed frame made entirely of solid wood, with thick, strong slats, preserves your mattress for long-lasting comfort and resiliency.

Plus, real wood resonates with us — in its look, feel, and scent — just as nature intended.

Father & Son Team

Meet the Makers

Adrift Wood Co. is the shared vision of Victoria locals Tim and Jake Tchida—a collaboration rooted in reverence for the natural world, the meaningfulness of creating, and the simple beauty of well-made goods.

Jake's journey began in the stillness between seasons of tree planting in Northern BC, where the idea of Adrift first took shape. For him, building with wood is a natural extension of his creative spirit, providing groundedness within the drifting moments life brings.

Tim spent a lifetime among trees, leading a company that planted nearly 750 million of them. Though his formal education was in philosophy and religious studies, it’s through working with wood, and now alongside his son, that his reflections on meaning, creativity, and contribution take shape.

Together, they build with honour to the wood, the process, and the stories carried within both.
