The Junto is a locally made headboard with a slatted platform base by David Martinello of Alternative Woodworks located in Mill Bay, British Columbia. This farmhouse style frame features locally sourced Western Maple and Fir wood. Each bed frame varies in appearance, reflecting the natural and unique qualities of the types of wood used. This frame is an affordable and aesthetically beautiful solid wood frame, suitable for a master bedroom or for your guests' retreat.
This frame is finished with an eco-friendly, water-based acrylic lacquer, allowing the natural beauty of the wood to shine through. Male-female hardware is used, making this frame easy to assemble, while staying extremely sturdy.

Overall, I am happy with the bed. Sturdy, attractive, comfortable, easily assembled, and more sustainable than ordering a bed from overseas.
The one flaw which makes the bed just "good" and not "excellent" is that the slats in the headboard are not tightly fitted together - they are able to slide horizontally just a little - and they are not sanded smooth on their inner edges (nor indeed on the back, though that is of less consequence). As a result, my hair occasionally gets caught between them, and my fingernails have occasionally received slivers.
