Spot clean only. Air out seasonally, avoiding direct sunlight. If intended as a primary mattress, flip and rotate weekly for the first few months and monthly thereafter, for even wear.

The Shikibuton is designed to rest on a breathable surface. We recommend using a Coconut Coir Bed Rug whether it is placed on top of a platform frame or the floor. For especially humid environments, use two Coconut Coir Bed Rug’s.
