Obasan Foundations are handcrafted in Canada with the finest Quebec FSC wood, finished with the same organic cotton jersey as Obasan's mattresses, and padded with layers of organic wool. Available in 4” and 8”, this foundation comes with rounded, solid wood legs that are recessed to reduce the chance of stubbing toes in the dark. Wood slats support your mattress and provide maximum breathability and support. All Obasan foundations are built using nails instead of glue, ensuring a healthy sleep environment. Obasan foundations with legs are dual-purpose as they function as both box spring and bed frame and available in all the standard sizes, including Queen and King. No box spring is needed.
